EM-CCM Fellowship Education
The two-year Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program offers a comprehensive education in the theoretical and practical aspects of critical care medicine that will help you develop a high level of competence in managing patients with life-threatening illnesses.

It will provide you with subspecialty training in the expert management of critically ill patients in an intensive care unit environment. You will also be trained in the management of emergencies outside of the ICU, including those that occur during transport of patients to an intensive care setting.

Emergency medicine physicians are welcome to apply for positions in the two-year track that will lead to eligibility forthe American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty examination in critical care medicine. As of 2012, five EM physicians have trained in the program.

The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship began in 1982, and since that time, more than 160 physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that seven to14 fellows will complete training in this program annually.
