Geisinger Health System-IM-CCM Fellowship

Program Description

Type of Program
The Critical Care Medicine Program at The Geisinger Health System is situated in Danville, Pennsylvania in rural eastern Pennsylvania. The area has a catchment population of approximately 2.5 million citizens and serves them regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. The Geisinger Health System is ranked in the top 15 in the United States for delivery of high quality, patient centered care.

The CCM group care for all adult critically ill patients in our system. Most of the care is provided at the Geisinger Medical Center, the tertiary care mother ship of the system (90 ICU and Special Care beds). Our fellows may function as acting attendings, in their second year, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Fellows have a very aggressive clinical, elective and research schedule for the two year program. Procedures, including Critical Care Ultrasound, comprise a portion of the training.

We welcome the application of our EM colleagues to our program via the ERAS system.

Individuals may contact the Fellowship Coordinator for further information; the Assistant Program Director may be contacted at
